any thoughts on there being a new sectione opened up for just GPS discussion and a place for newbee's like me to ask questions and get answers. its just a thought and with so many people out there using GPS it may be worth having.

thanx

I think we did this last year too, but the admin group said it was too much to take care of. I understand as I'm an admin for my wine making web site http://www.WinePress.US

I'd love to see a GPS section though. There's one set up on totallyamaha. It doesn't get too much use just yet, but I think that as soon as more and more trail clubs offer their maps via downloadable software, that the GPS sections will really take off.

I think it sounds like a good idea, but I do not think there would be close to enough traffic on it to justify adding it. I'm sure it would make the Yamaha area look busy compared to it!

It'd be cool, but I doubt this forum needs another sub-forum.

I would have to say no. I think by doing a search here, you will find a great deal of info already posted, and if it doesn't answer your guestion, post it here.

I've been using GPS for years now, and feel I can help with some questions, but suspect I wouldn't spend much time in a GPS forum. Just too many to keep up on already.

JMHO though,

Although I think it could be real helpul in learning how to use and where and how to get or make trail maps, I voted no. Won't be enough traffic.

BUT...................... I came up with maybee a compromise that you might be able to ask for. How about get a 'All GPS questions' topic pinned like the oil one? I think The top brass might be able to agree to that for ya guys. I would vote yes for that.

perhaps you could save up 15000 credits and start a forum with moderator rights

I would have to say no...You can look up Garmin or any of the rest of the GPS brands and find all kinds of info on them with individual models. There is fust too many to try and choose for each individual use.
