I am going for a either an 8x16 Landscaper or 8.5 x 17.5 v-nose. Pulling is not an issue but durability is.

:) Enclosed is the way to go IMO I do not think you will regret a covered trailer.
also I would consider the in line type trailers easier to pull and you can see around them without mirror extentions and less wind resistance.

I second the vote for enclosed. Since I got my enclosure last year, I'll never go back to an open trailer.

Inlines are nice for the reason mentioned above, but parking and storage may be an issue due to their length. Just something to consider.

For what it's worth-just repaired a floe enclosed trailer for a friend of my boss-don't know if it was the dealer or the company but they couldn't even get us a size on wheel studs or bearings without a 1 week wait to get the info by mail

I love my 4-place Renegade enclosed, just be prepared to put some petro in that tank of yours. I get about 100 miles less per tank than I did with my open two place.

Any opinions on open 2 place trailer, tilt vs. V-type drive on/off? I'm in the market for my first trailer and would appreciate any good suggestions. thanks

I picked up an older 4 place and it seems to pull pretty nice,,,,I would rather have the nice enclosed,,,,

I would rather have the drive on drive off, but I have heard others complain about them,,,,,

I'm gona second the SnoPro recommendations, even though I'm a little biased.

I just bought a 14.5 foot enclosed SnoPro aluminum trailer, and I have nothing bad to say about it. Quality of materials and construction are top notch. The trailers come with Dexter axels, diamond plating, man and fuel doors and any options you could think of. The deck is made of high grade marine plywood. The bars that hold the sleds down in the front, thread into fittings below the deck which are completly sealed from the outside. The frame of the trailer is made of bright finish aluminum box tubing. The tounge and hitch again are high quality. The exterior sides and top of the trailer are aluminum but are only screwed into the upper and lower frames. The reminaing connections to the interior studs are bonded (i.e. no screw holes). The trailer is really very well built, right down to the hand made welds. I really can't think of any complaints.

The trailers are manufactured right her in New England (maine to be specific), so you are buying an entirely american made product (if thats as important to you as it is to me).

Check out the website to see the trailers and specs. www.snoprotrailers.com.

If you'ld like, I might be able to post some pictures as well.

Get the enclosed, as you'll have space to put your gear on the drive up, and it'll stay dry and secure. We throw everything in the trailer, and fold down the seats in my cousin's GMC Yukon and two drive, two sleep.
