High Miler 03-09-2002, 03:56 PM I would buy a Polaris for 03.. The new sleds the others are offering look kinda cool in someways, but a little to Radical in others.. I would let them prove themselves for a season of consumer riding before I jumped on any of there bandwagon's...The cousin bought a new REV, traded his AC, SS.. So I guess I will be able to test ride it next winter...
Machzzzz1 03-09-2002, 06:29 PM id take the Ski Doo its new REVolution http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

fastcat02 03-09-2002, 10:26 PM http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif I will take the one that gets me back to the trailer at the end of the day without a tow rope. Someting that will run properly would also do. Sorry guys but I am very bitter today. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif
Wolfman 03-09-2002, 11:31 PM Yamaha for me as well!!! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I would take the yamaha .Although I haven't seen the rx-1 in life yet , i seen the REV twice , today I got a good look at it and I just don't like the style. I love some ideas, the side panels let you work on motor/clutch, front end looks strong and cool, rear susp. ? looks wierd to me , but lots of travel . I like the forward riding positon. The whole package looks cheap though, the plastic looks cheap. Also the guy sells it like you will be able to customise it by changing panels, well after $11000 + there is not alot of cash left for customising.
Ger
02MXZ600 03-11-2002, 04:32 AM I would take the REV, but I'm a bit bias. *I stilll think it looks good though.
Steven Hohman 03-11-2002, 10:17 AM RX-1 I would want, but both aren't bad sleds, I'd take either of the two, but to me, the REV is just too much of a change, I just can't handle it.....I'll get used to it, though.
sled-head 03-11-2002, 10:59 AM I chose other........I would be most interesred in the ZR900.........BIG TORQUE BIG POWER http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Little green sixer 03-11-2002, 05:07 PM FIRECAT F7 all the way http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
midnight screamer 03-12-2002, 12:39 AM REV ALL THE WAY! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

MO-FO 03-14-2002, 06:06 PM I think all three are ugly as ####!
Snow Monkey 03-14-2002, 06:11 PM http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif 2003 Polaris SKS 800.
Downriver Thunder 03-14-2002, 06:39 PM Looks like the FireCat is on top.
C'mon guys we cant let the REV go down *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Steven Hohman 03-14-2002, 09:36 PM hmm, seems like we have a tie for second AND first! *Seems sad, though, not many votes compared to our amount of users!!!!! * 3k users, 28 votes *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/baaa.gif
Yeah its funny how so many people look at the poll and dont even take 2 min to vote http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
I am going off the deep end. We are refinancing our house, my wife says that I can try and start my snowmobile business with my half of the left over cash (7k) well after last weekends ride on my mountain max, I couldn't walk for 2 days!! That thing won't sidehill for me. I weigh a 155 lbs. It will go straight up any mountain no matter how deep or steep, but it's too heavy for me to sidehill. Not to mention the body english I have to give it. My legs and back are aching trying to yank it around to where I want to go. Remember I am riding Mountains 90% of the time, I can't get the ski to plow into the snow, it keeps tipping up above the snow and I have to turn back down so I don't tip it over. I ended up at the bottom of a canyon Sunday, got it stuck trying to sidehill back up and had to ride back up STRAIGHT UP THE SIDE OF THE HILL! *It was flipping steep and scary, but that thing will climb like an ape! And did! So I am going to sell it and I am thinking of REDLINE. I sent them an e-mail to see if I can test ride there sled but they have not responded. I will not spend 11 to 13 thousand dollars without riding it first. If it rides the way it looks, I will be happy. To me all the sleds (cat, polaris, ski-doo, yamaha) look and react virtually all the same, yes they do have different charictaristics, but they look all the same with the same basic tunnel system thats been used since 1965. I want something light and different. If it comes about, this group will be the first to know.
ZRT Sled Head 03-15-2002, 03:51 AM http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif Alot of talk about Yamaha rx11, But face it, how many of you will actually buy a first year sled at that price??
Ill stick to Cat, wait and see how they preform, ask this question next year, and see what the replys will be,
could be very interesting. Ride what u like!!
permafrost 03-15-2002, 05:18 PM I'm lookin at gettin the 03 summit X 800 H.O.R.E.R, sounds kinda dirty don't it.
http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif
permafrost 03-15-2002, 05:23 PM So i can doo more of this...
Crazy B 03-15-2002, 10:22 PM I`ll take one too brother
SteveCZ 03-16-2002, 11:21 AM Had to vote for my most recent purchase....Didn't need the big bad 700, stuck with the 500, I would rather jet it myself anyways.....
Black F5 Patriot Graphic
Bilbat 03-16-2002, 07:33 PM [B]Black F7 Sabercat for me! *After having a ZRT6 for the last 5 years, I am looking forward to a LIGHT sled!
zrgreen 03-17-2002, 08:31 AM I voted for the Firecat, but would like to ride all 3, then take another vote, maybe I would change my mind....or not http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
POWERHAULIC 03-17-2002, 01:52 PM Been on skidoo since '94, but I ordered a black RX1
wow, not to many votes for the RX-1.
phazerhater 03-19-2002, 06:57 PM Only 4 less than the REV Dan.haha http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
revrnd 03-22-2002, 04:10 AM Permafrost:
Where are you going to find snow like that around Chandos? *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I won't be looking for a new sled till next spring. I'm not won over by the REV. Tone done the hood styling, keep the access panels and give it a more relaxed riding stance and I'll buy whatever Ski-doo calls it. Maybe I'll have to go for a Legend for '04.
Right now I don't know of anyone ordering one,but it would be nice to get some seat time next winter.
permafrost 03-22-2002, 11:30 AM revrnd once in awhile we do get deep snow up here, lol It's only 144" long. *Shouldn't be a problem in the twisties *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
If i can only ride it around here a few times of year that is okay. *I would rather go to cochrane 4-5 times a year than sled down here at all. *The off trail opportunities are endless up there http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
revrnd 03-22-2002, 01:00 PM Yeah I know, you pass a lot of logging roads that aren't plowed that you would need a Renegade. When I stopped at the doo dealer in Hearst last year, they had a Summit in the showroom. I thought why in the world would they order one of them. Then as we were approaching Hornepayne, we saw where someone had gone off the trail, taken a shortcut across a small lake. All you could see was the mark from the track, no ski tracks. We get into the gas station at Hornepayne and here's a Summit parked there, question answered *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
LadyKatRider 03-24-2002, 06:24 PM I went to the WSA Snocross last night and saw all of these sleds in action & wouldn't pay what they are asking for any of them.
The RX1 sounded like crap, the firecat could barely make it around the track and the REV, was just too yellow!
Well that is my opnion, but if it came down to it the REV in Black would have to doo... LOL!
Blair Morgan and Karl Kuster did just fine on them.
PURPLE VMAX - now there is my dream sled, seeing I'm female and all!! *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif

Ain't nuttin' wrong with a purple sled. *I'd take one. *A deep, dark, seemingly bottomless purple that turns black in the right light. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
I could have had such a color on my truck, but didn't want the requisite cleaning nightmare.
SnowmoKING 03-27-2002, 10:57 PM I can't beleive the firecat is on top. *I would take the REV in a second then the RX-1 Then the Firecat. *I thought Skidoo would be in front. *The Ski doo fans are letting me down. * http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/baaa.gif
WINTERFREAK 03-29-2002, 12:12 AM The Rev
I saw it in Duluth 2001 for the 1st WSA Sno-X and fell in love. *The look is great, and the performance has been a PROVEN winner.
Sign me up!
It would be rx-1 blue of course. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
highlandergerman 07-09-2002, 01:50 AM the sled i would choose and the sled that i shall be getting this fall. the f7 of course.
LicknOutaTheCatsDish 07-09-2002, 11:27 PM EFSEVENGREEN
sledcrazy 07-12-2002, 11:04 PM REV 600HO, but ill have to settle with my 01 mxz600. *(modded)
pistlepete 07-15-2002, 10:27 PM I will go with the f7 cat. *Love the light weight and all that fuel injected power. *The rev is cool but it felt to small for me. *Lack of leg room. ALSO, A sled thats built in the USA is a big plus in my book!
caper 07-26-2002, 11:25 AM I will *make *my mind up when the firecat gives me a run for my money......because with the amount of srx`s and 800 mxz`s that my little 711 has beat up on it will not be old yellow or grandpapa`s yammmie !!!I can`t weight for the snow to fly so that the other can start taking bout how fast she is *because here in Cape Breton we have miles and miles of full out running to settle the score.You just gotta love that D.D POWER when you drop the hammer . * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * :devil

Skidoowes 07-27-2002, 02:06 AM Its gona be like christmas and birthday all together come oct/nov when my REV X 800 comes home. *Now... what kind of celebratory cigars to buy?
jayjaysin 07-29-2002, 06:02 PM Good poll. *I voted for other. *I have a 900 on order. *We'll see how the new ones do. *After a few years on the snow then I'll be ready to try out a Firecat 1000 Triple. *Now that's what I'm looking forward to.
idooski 08-01-2002, 02:16 PM Have a REV coming for the wife. I don't believe there's another choice. Especially for her. Myself...I'm holding any other opinions about the new models until they hit the snow.
I'd go for a rev http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
liquid600 08-04-2002, 02:50 PM yammy seems to have their package put together well!!!
MO-FO 08-04-2002, 03:09 PM No offense but none of the three models listed.
ARCTICZRT600 08-05-2002, 05:24 PM I'd never buy a first year sled. *Possibility of too many problems. *Remember the 98 ZR EFIs?
IndySKS 08-05-2002, 10:22 PM None of the above... If had my choice it would be this
http://www.polarisindustries.com/img/sno/03sno_edgermkchasis_lg.jpg
kj-zrt800 08-06-2002, 01:01 AM kjpoultry@tcc.on.caI would choose the new arctic cat gszr1200 four-stroke.oop's it doesn't exist.
jwheeler 08-21-2002, 09:39 AM I want whats not even made yet a triple/triple ZX, and if ski doo does make this they should call it the MACH Zx, what a sled. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
louis 08-21-2002, 10:41 AM Me,
I ordered a REV. By now no explanation is required.
The RX-1 looks superhot with twin hooters out the rear but its a pig. I am eager to try one out after I get bored with the REV.
What about the Blade, built solid with the Polaris 800 and twin hooters to boot.SLICK! and only twice the price.
performancex 08-21-2002, 03:56 PM Blade wasn't an option. *Probably because it's a given that, if money was no object, this would be the top choice.
