i've already been told to re-clutch it with a new goodwin but im lookin for somethin wit a small price tag that will really light a fire under its ###! any suggestions?

build it out to 670HO specs :D

501 rotor, short boots, 286 ski doo ramps in the clutch, Y pipe cut, All this can be done for $100.00 to $125.00 (U.S.) She'll have great mid range, and a little more top end, and the bottom won't suffer. I have this set up on my 98 FZ.

You know it's been a couple years now when we did this mild mod, and I wanted to make sure its right....... I was close but not close enough........here is better info......

Best thing to do is go to don emery's site its www.DNEperformance.com (all one word on the dne performance. )

He gives you all the spec.s right there and a template on how to cut the Y pipe.

He gives you a new jetting spec which we didn't have at the time, and he also gives you the timing spec on the 501 rotor which is 146 degree-76degree.

I didn't have the clutch spec right (sorry! it was to long ago to remember exact, here is the correct info.) stock ramps are 286 change to 280's go to a yellow erlandson 240-320 spring. adjust your clickers to give you a max RPM of 7900-8000. secondary clutch spring set at C-6 or B-1 (16lbs.). Air box modifications are not recommended.
