Has anyone heard what is causing the fuel pump to freeze up on the Vipers?

I think it was the snow that would melt from the air box and it would drain on top of the fuel pump and refreeze, some people moved the pump or made a cover for it.

I've heard, you can pull the airbox, and cover the pump with clear silicone. Sounds kind of tacky, but if it works great. Should keep the moisture away and if you need to replace or get at it later....just peel away the silicone. One of the guy's I ride with had his freeze up last weekend in the UP. we ended up pouring VERY hot water on it a couple times and that did the trick. He doesn't use dry gas either (some peoples kid's....I tell ya....)hopefully he learned his lesson.

This is one reason not to buy a sled the first year out. Let them get some real world abuse and have the manufacturers update them then. Always something comes up.
