I have that problem alot. What I would do is tighten the bolt that turns tight then try to loosening up the side that wasn't moving before.I had to cut the bolt on my old cheetah off cause my bud striped the axle when putting the bolt back in on one side. Thanks Bob :D BTW spell check you posts for now on and why are you taking the slid out anyways, to change that bearing?

The last resort would be to drill a hole through the center of the shaft, and then put a nail or screw through it. This will stop the internal rod from spinning, good luck. :christmas:

Good luck,,,this could be a rough one,,,,,isnt there an axle there that the bolts on each side bolt onto,,,,if there is, cut em and get a new axle,,, shouldnt be that much. Last time I tried to drill a bolt out and put new threads in, I ended up riding back to the motel at about 10mph sitting on the gas tank because it popped at the worst possible time 30 MILE FROM THE HOTEL!!!
Spaceman gave good advice to you on a similar thread...did you try it? Here it is again.
Take one bolt out replace it with a longer bolt with a nut on it.thread the bolt in and tighten the nut.Remove the bolt on the other side. Go back to the first side and loosen the nut then back out the bolt.

Since I own a Skidoo and you have to drop the suspension every time I want to change the sliders this is a common problem. Since both bolts turn in oppsite ways to loosen you need to crack them first. Tighten the loose one. Gently hit the stuck one on the head with a hammer. Try to loosen. If it comes loose then loosen both bolts and proceed with job. IF not try this. Remove the loose bolt. The axle will drop down enough and you can pull the sleeve covering the axle off. Grasp the exposed axle with vise grips and now loosen the nut. Once you crack it line the axle/shaft up and remove the other bolt. If this still doesn't work then snap the head off the stuck bolt. Remove the axle and file the broken bolt flat. Drill small hole in the end. Get some "easy outs" (You can get them cheap at Canadian Tire) and remove the broken bolt. Pick a new bolt up at the dealer and reinstall everything finger tight. Give both the bolts a crank to tighten. Then torque them down. If all else fails then look into some new parts or get the dealer to do the job. No better way to learn than to break and repair your own stuff.
