I think the whole snowmobile world is watching to see if Poo has a new sled. Just wish I was there.

Polaris Probabely raced a 2001 XC, because that is the best model that they currently make because its virtually unchanged for 2004!

So how were the races? What were some of the results?

Deadman, you can say what you like, but the Pro-X is one sweet race sled.

No show huh? Go figure! I like Polaris and all, but everyone out there agrees that it's time for a change or they're gonna get left behind--everywhere!! How long does their marketing department think that a new decal package is gonna sell sleds to new-comers to their brand? I would tend to belive that even you die-hard Polaris riders have to be getting tired of the same old same old. Just my $.02--not trying to offend anyone!--Bleedin'

Only thing I saw from Duluth was on another site. It was Cat's and Doo's up front from what I read. It wasn't Morgan thank god, he was only going to take the green flag. That's what I read in Snowweek the other day!

Be interesting to see what polaris does for the mod sled. I emailed Judnick the other day and asked if it had a arms, he didn't respond. Maybe its still a secret!

I have a nice comparison of A-arms and trailing arms that I posted on another site. If anyone is interested, I'll post it here.

Thanks, 04 700XC

I really don't have a clue what Polaris is thinking now. The feeling I got from a lot of guys I ride with was that the mod sled debute was gonna be huge for Polaris as this was going to show the polais loyalists just what Polaris had for 2005.

I for one was sure hoping for something new but as a long time polaris faithful of about 17 years I can honestly say I love my 03 pro-x 700 BUT next season I am buying a new sled and if polaris doesn't have something new I am going to have a hard time not looking at a MX ZX.personally sno cross doesn't mean #### to me when considering a new sled it's just entertainment and the true hero's are the racers not the sleds, and there really isn't anything wrong with polaris's current sleds but when you see every other brand with new sleds you kind of can't help wish polaris had something new to offer.you know just have something new and different, for the first year anyway then everyone has one anyway.

I WAS a Life-long Polaris Guy.
I was in the Market for a Sled this Spring. I looked at Polaris's line-up and NOTHING changed from my 01 XC SP. So I Laughed all the way to the DOO Dealer.

Needless to say I Bought a 04 Mxz X S.D.I. 600

It'll take HUGE strides to make me ever buy another Polaris sled again. I think they've lost me forever.

Geez, Deadman, lets see: The TEAM roller secondary, PERC, Detenation elimination technology,(DET), better, no maintenance shocks, stronger skiis, deeper lug track, improved seat material, adjustable seat back, these all seem to be things that my 01 XC 600 didn't have. Polaris still builds the most durable, best handling at high speed sled on the market. Sure your new REV might be a mogul basher, but ride it 200 miles in a day and tell me your legs/knees don't hurt. I can't believe they wouldn't.

I too hope Polaris comes out with some new stuff, but only if it is better than what they got now, not just changing to be different.

Think snow!! Good Luck!

The only thing you need to remember is that my Rev has ALL of the "new" features that the 04 Polaris has.........Then it has the added bonus of all th eextra things that come along with a center-ride sled. I am 24 years old and in considerably "good" physical condition, so fatigue is no issue for me.

I simply made a decision based on who was leading the sport and who was following. I didn't try to create an argument or flame anyone. I really liked my XC, but it was just outdated by the competition. I've never been one to ride a sled that was in my mind inferior to the competition, so I had to get a Rev. I really wish that everyone could just take a Rev and ride it for a day. They are so easy to ride and Ride Hard!

Anyway I'mm getting off topic here. so back on topic please! Sorry!

Rode a Rev.... didn't feel natural to me at all. Plus I can't get past the butt ugly looks. Don't get me wrong, Doo builds a fine sled but Poo has the looks plus more importantly the goods UNDER the hood. Fancy fiberglass doesn't doo it for me. :p

Paul, it's called an expression.... The act of expressing, conveying, or representing in words, art, music, or movement; a manifestation. In this case I chose to use words and my word of choice is "fiberglass".

I use it to represent the "COSMETIC" or "SURFACE" changes to some snowmobiles, which have resulted in such a rage in our beloved sport and the false impression that these changes represent a technologically superior product. I was trying to convey the fact that what really matters is what's under the "FIBERGLASS" or what is "INSIDE".

I also understand that the snow machines of today do not use fiberglass but rather plastics like polycarbonate or composites.

Hope this helps....

While I was trying to decide what I was going to do for a 2004 I had the oppurtunity to speak with a Polaris Rep. , when I asked if anything was coming for 2005 and indicated my loyalty to Polaris my be coming to an end he said he couldn't tell. After speaking with him for about 20 minutes he asked me what sled I was looking at and told him a 700 xc sp, his exact reply was "you might want to wait for 2005" he went on to say if I was looking at a classic or touring to go ahead and get one., he ended by saying but I can't tell you anything. Doesn't help with the visual, but it sounds like the change is coming.

P.S. I bought the 2004 700 xc sp because I don't want to by the first year of a new model or style.

The first company with a 900 gets my mnoey, be it Doo or Poo. I am a long time Poo riser, but switched mid season last year to a BM REV. Make no mistake about it the REV is light years ahead of anything Poo has out presently.
