Hey guys, Those Big wheel kits look pretty neat, but the aluminum ones seem pretty expensive. Does someone out there know of a place that sells colored plastic "big wheels"? Will I have to change the axle to fit these wheels on my '02 ZR 600? Does 'Cat offer them in 8''--seems to me like the ones on the back of the new Mt. Cats look pretty large. Any help would be great. Thanks--Bleedin

check out Mountain Machines (http://www.mountainmachines.com) They have some wicked looking 8" billet wheels

Thanks Sledneck but I'm looking for the plastic ones in particular because of the price.--Bleedin'
P.S. That is some pretty trick stuff on that site--does anyone think that there would be an advantage to relocating the rear wheels to the inside of the skid (similar to the f-cat) for the trail? I know it will reduce weight, but will it improve handling or anything?

Moing them inside is a mistake you would be eliminating the support for the outer track. The F doesn't have very much track outside of the rails so it's not the same.
Black Magic even offers outer wheels for the F. An option that I'm very interested in.

spaceman,,,,just wondering why you are interested in putting bogies outside on the firecat??

Without the idler wheels on the outside of the rails would tend to make you believe that the sliders would wear down faster than a a conventional ZR chassis. Have you "F" owners noticed this??

Not that I do that much jumping but the description from BM says that landing on the tail made the f want to pitch{or something to that effect} So i became interested. I also thought it would be nice to add the Bling-Bling of some Dubs on the rear of the skid....WERD!!!

Now that you guys mention it I remember seeing that same thing on BM's website last year. I guess that the mountain guys only benefit from the weight savings and less rolling resistance. Anybody out there know of any 8" plastic wheels? Please let me know as I'm still interested in the top-end gain whilr running the bigger wheels. Thanks--Bleedin'
