I picked up a 500 deluxe for my wife with the stock track. I am thinking of putting 96 down the middle for her. What size should I get?

thanks

Do you know what size lug is on the track? If its the .88 go with 1"

96 down the middle would be great for that sled. Go with 5/16" thick with 1" heads and you shouldnt have any issues with rip-outs.

Balance that out with a decent set of 4" front carbides. Good brand name ones like Woodies, StudBoy, etc.....not the oem stock ones, they dont get any bite.

Good luck

Is that the fan-cooled model? My son has a '99 500 Deluxe fan-cooled which I just put 96 studs in down the center. I had to put a new track on it , .88" Artic Cat take-off, and ended up going to 1.075" Woodys as they are what I already have on my MXZ800. If I recall stock is .75. Go to Woodys site and it'll tell you what you need.
If it is the fan cooled model, the suspension sits higher up in the tunnel and there is VERY little room in there! Ended up taking the seat, fuel tank off and installing some teflon strips I had kicking around for protecters. Tried first getting some from Ski-Doo but being a fan-cooled they don't offer. Guess it's because nowhere to slide them into being there's no heat exchanger.
They sure made a differance in handling on his machine. I also had the Flex-Ski's installed( got rid off the stell one's) with carbide's.

It's the liquid cooled 500. I'll check out Woody's website.

Thanks
