Hey everybody,
What are your opinions on these two crossover sleds. Which one do you think is better and why? I've heard that they are pretty equal, but the Switchback is a better performer in the deepsnow and the Renegade performes better on the trail. What about the lake?
just post your opinions on these two sleds
Thanks

I think it depends on your engine choice and where you ride, dealer support, blah, blah, blah. The Revegade is a tough sled to beat in many aspects. The 600 is strong in both ho and sdi config. The 800ho is now a pretty bad ### engine as well. Im going with a 600sdi x for 04 unless someone else drops a bomb. The switchback has a longer track so naturally it will pull better in powder with both sled having a 1.25" sneaker. You may lose a bit in cornering agility but that sled will soak up stutter bumps real well. You cant make a WRONG decision here.

both would be 800's. Is one faster then the other? does one accelerate faster then the other? post any comments on either sled

Hehee :p I was thinkin' the same.

Im gonna guess that there very close, but thats just a guess. Will have to wait for the season to get into full swing before really answering that question.

I realy like Polaris's and SkiDoo's. If the Gade had stayed with the ZX frame and I was buying today either a ZX gade or the new Switchback.....it would be a toss-up. But with the new REV-a-Gade package....theres no question in my mind....go with the REVaGade hands down!

Have the Switchback/SKS.
If you ride alot of trails I'd have to agree with 800RER - go with the Gade. Haven't rode the Rev Gade yet but did ride a regular Rev and if they put a 136 on that thing then it has got to be a kick ### sled. The Switch is going to push in the corners quite a bit.

I ahve a rev and love it but i dont think i would by and SDI just yet. From what i have heard on other forums, its just hearsay it may not be fact, is that with the SDI you must run 91 octane gas and run XPS-2 oil or an equvalent oil. So if you are ok with this go for it but if it was me i would try and find out if they make a non SDI gade and go for that. But as long as you are gettting into you cant go wrong either way.

I just checked the doo site and according to it the SDI is only coming in the 600 so if you want and 800 your only option is a non SDI 800 ho. Good Luck.

If both are 800's you are looking at then you will not be looking at SDI as it is not available in the Rev chassis. You would be looking at the 800 H.O. Both nice sleds. I believe the Poo has tipped up rails on the back suspension so it feels shorter on the trails. I don't think you can really go wrong with which ever sled you choose.

The current issue of SnowGoer compares switchback, renegade, rx warraior, and f6 ext. Still in the process of reading it, but you might want to check it out! SWRules

I can't say, I haven't ridden any of these sleds. But if I had the money I really like the switchback and would throw my money down for one...
