Did a 95 zr 580 have a under hood tool box? I bought mine used from a dealer with no tools and no sign of a tool box?

No! I believe it was in the rear pouch of the seat! That where mine was on my 1995 EXT580 mc!!! SWRules

The tools on the '95 ZR (and all Cats up till '98) came in a pouch that would be found in the trunk area of the seat. It sounds like someone scammed yours.

Most tool kits seem to get removed from used sleds. I bought my sled used from a dealer and made sure it included a tool kit. They had to go into the parts room and get me a new one. It is canvas pouch that I stow in the rear trunk.

Like everyone else said the tool kits came in a bag that was in the rear trunk. It wasn't until 98 when there were up under the hood and in my dads T660 Turbo I think the tool kit is back in a bag and in the rear trunk.

My 1995 Z440 was in a black tie up bag and found in the trunk of the seat. But know my Sabercat is right by my crotch. Just lift the seat and there it is. Weird spot for it. And I also found out today my seat removes very easily to store the spare belt.
Dam I have to read that owners manual again. And this time pay more attention.

Darylthenewf,,,,,the tool location on your sabercat is the same as my f7,,, I was amazed when I finally found it. I also really like how your seat pops up for the belt, and xrta plug storage,,,,,very nice touch. wish my f7 did the same
