I'm going out of my mind, This is the most depressing time for me I can't crusie because it's too cold and I can't sled because there is no snow. What the hell? It's p!ssing me off. It is now Dec 2 and still no sigh of any snow, I think I'm gonna sell me sled and buy a quad. :( Okay I'm done now carry on :D

Look at the bright side.. At least if it's been cold, and you've got no snow, maybe by the time you DO get snow, the ground will be frozen. And then, you won't have to drive through numerous mudholes and washouts on your first few rides like the rest of us. I went on my first 'ride' on Saturday, the old girl came home looking like she was fresh out of the swamp! :D

I am insane  LOL We got a little dusting of snow last night but that is it, hasn't been enough to go sledding yet. My 4 wheeler is sitting in the garage but I just dont feel like riding it. I'm looking to buy a new atv this spring or summer hopefully, I want to get a 400ex.
its not good to get snow before the ground has a good deep frost in it. i am depressed to that we cant go riding yet, but most years we dont get out untill the first of the year anyway. its been nice and cold here the past couple days and the forecast has no snow for the next week but just good and cold. I think i'll be on the lake getting the sleds clutched up in a week or so. :D

Hey 96 you could always get onto the river and go for a rip. There seems to be alot of guys riding the river in Selkirk, there are even a few ice shacks out and guys ice fishing already.

Ya the father in law put his shacks out. He's a guide and has had a bunch of americans up already. 6-7 in in places close to shore and 4-5 in the middle. That was late last week. Could be more ice now. I think I'll just wait a little longer yet. The river froze real smooth. I see lots of people skating on it. Heard the forcast for the next few days as I was coming to work this a.m. Possible rain or freezing rain tomorrow with a high of +1 C. Sucks

I hear ya 96. I made a few changes to my sled this year. Pipes, picks, clutching, and can't wait for it to snow.In the new snow-tech the editor wrote an article about keeping the snowmobiling faith, but it's becoming hard to do in Manitoba.

It looks like I may get some relief of not sledding shortly. We are suppose to a big storm tonight and tomorrow, the anticpation is killing me though. I'm more excited now then I would have been at christmas time, I dont think I will be able to sleep tonight. I HAVE GONE INSANE FOR SNOWMOBILING!!

Geez... with the level the river is at this year, it is probably frozen right down to the riverbed by now :p . Honestly, I was hoping to go for a quick rip on thursday night after that dusting, but I got home and could still see the blades of grass peeking through the snow and decided against it. :cussing: Honestly, I think we're due pretty soon...... just waiting to hear my 2 favourite winter words around here .... Colorado Low :D
