I've been looking around and like these '96- up sl 500's. From what i know they are fan cooled, have the lighter chassis with SC-10 suspension, electric start, all the goodies. Was wondering the top speed of one of these? Any comments? Are they reliable?? Good for deep snow? thanks, neil

all i can say is bulletproof. quick little sled and u can probably see around 140-150 km's on the speedo on a long run. they're not a deep powder sled but will hold up fine. the electric start is probably added on but a nice feature. sc-10 suspension works very well and is a very good all around maintenance free sled. expect many, many, MANY trouble free miles. a friend of mine had 16,000 before he did a top end on his 95' sl. cant go wrong IMO.

I had a 99 sl and it was the best sled i had.Mine would run 84 mph on the speedo with a 190 pound rider. The motor is very dependable and has good torque. It would do awsome wheelies even with no studs.I still kick my self in the ### for selling it.

I had a 96 F-Sl and it was an awsome sled, the only sucky thing was that when my wife would ride it, she couldn't pull start it. This sled had a very heavy pull to the recoil, you didn't want to flood it or else you where in for a workout :cussing: . Great sled though
