Hi guys:

I am stumped, recently installed dial-a-jets on my 96' Indy 600 xcr sp. I went right by the book. The problem is, it works awesome up to about 60 mph. At that point it is almost as though it loses one cylinder. Completely gutless!!!

I have tried taking the main jets down 3 sizes. It still seems way rich. I am afraid I may be pushing the envelope. Can anybody offer any advice?

When you say it seems rich,is that a plug and piston wash reading? If your sure it is running rich,check to make sure the air hole on the d-a-j is'nt blocked.The instructions also say the main jet could be 4 sizes smaller,but be cautious.I installed a set myself this year,and so far like them.If you decide to drop the main another size,put the d-a-j back to the richest setting and test again.

i'm suspecting something other than the d a j 's causing your problem,take her for a run and check the plugs and cylinder and let us know what you found,you could be going lean also due to other carb problems.
i run dial a jets on my sled and they are awesome but on certain sleds if you mount the fuel line directly under your main jet the dj's can pull fuel away from it and cause a lean condition,thunder products advised me of this themselves.
then again you might be rich these things can take a lot of testing to get it just right but when you do you will be impressed.
i would go down one more jet size first and test again it might be all you need.
