Michael Van Dolder actually won Pro 440, but was put back 1 position for passing in a yellow section. That moved Jon Zelinski up to 1st.

Iain Heyden was hurt when his sled submarined under Ric Wilson's errant sled during the Pro 440 final. Iain was racing w/ a cracked hand & was struggling on Saturday. He was doing better on Sunday till the 440 crash. As a result he wasn't able to race in the Pro Open final.

Noel had a couple of stout runs going on Saturday during the motos, but had "offs" after tripling the moguls @ the bottom of the hill.

On Sunday, Noel had a big lead in the Open final, but went over the bottom berm AGAIN. He was able to get back into the race, but he was never in contention. The sled seemed to have suffered some damage & wouldn't run like it did before.

I guess when AC intro'd the '04 440, no one thought it competitive enough against the REV to switch. The Poos were never really in it all weekend.

I also heard the comment that maybe the deal to get Speedwerx to do the AC Open motors rather than the racer making his own arrangements, may have hurt the performance.

The REV is just an amazing machine. It was amazing at Duluth..the pros and semi-pros that switched brands look just incredible on the REV. Reimer is one prime example, there are several other pros and semi-pros that had dramatically improved while on the REV.

Hey, how come no-one's talking about the strong Yamaha finishes??? Good to see a couple of guys from the Yammie camp turned up. Go Team Blue!!!!!

Most notably, Steve Tarr had a modest finish in the Pro Vet 35+ class. Betcha that Yamaha really beat the 'Tarr' out of him.... :D :D :D

Hey, if a Yamaha guy can't make fun of the Yamaha snow-cross effort, who can????

No seriously, great start to the season, hopefully the REV's will see some competition before the year ends....
