now the polaris loyalists will have a glimmer of light for the reasons they have been hanging to their favorite make of sled.

900 on the side , about time for that. Kinda funny ski combo though. Looks like a yamaha headlight area with a rev hood and a little fatter belly pan chain case area. :lookaround:

It does look kinda Yamahaish.
Where did you get the pic?

Was on another site for like 5 minutes and then deleted. I have posted it on snowest like 30 times and it keeps getting taken off.

I have it saved in my computer. It was e-mailed to me from rider I sponsor. It has the console pushed forward similar to the '04 Pro XR 440. I like it and so does the wife!!

Hard to say. Rumors of this racing sled have been around for a long time. Ask Justin Tate. He was promised by Polaris this sled last year and it never showed. According to him this was one of the main reasons the AMSOIL team jumped from Doo to Poo last year. Still can't believe they have gone to a-arms after saying there system is better. Direct from Poo's web site.
"The Polaris front suspension, unlike competitive A-Arm designs, features progressive-rate caster angle geometry. The result is less steering effort under normal trail conditions and reduced darting when riding over rough terrain, which requires more suspension travel. "

But a A arm setup has little or no bump steer.

Since it is not a true production sled it doesn't surprise me that it has two different colored ski's. The engineers etc at polaris have likely been swapping a lot of parts around and testing different things. 2 different colored ski's. Big deal. Looks real to me.

I took the picture into Photoshop and zoomed in as far as possible to look for anything strange in the pixels. As far as my amatuer eye can tell, the picture is real.

they would be smart to get it to the track since that seems to be where most of the hickups with a sled show up.

It is real. Have a friend working next door to the factory and he has seen it. Has also seen another sled moved around with a cover on it. The cover blew off a little and he saw a-arms on that one also.

All I can say is that when I see it, I will believe it. I have also heard Yamaha is introducing a Sno-x sled in February? Any takers on that?

Keep the rubber side down.

All the companies have to meet the emissions for 2006,so Polaris has been working on this for quite some time.Direct injection burns cleaner and and is more fuel efficient. Also u can burn a fuel curve in the cdi.So I would have to say what ur seeing is true :D

The a-arms your friend saw was that of a sled polaris bought at a Cat dealership
to copy the A-arms so they can try and get them right the first time .While there at it
they should pop the hood and try to figure out how cat gets sooo much power out
of those F-series cats....................

hey caper711cc,u should no that Polaris owns Blade, which has been around for more than 10 years,so the technology was there along time ago.As for the liberity engines, the power is there,it's the weight that was holding us back in 2003.The firecats had a 30lbs wieght advantage in the 600 and 700 class. As for 2004 r weights r close to urs,and as for 2005 with the new body style they will be alot lighter. :christmas:
