Me and a couple of buddies make are annual trip ussually after the new year. We normally go to the UP Mich. This year we are planning on going east we are wanting to go to NY. What im wonderinng is the price on trail permit for someone out of state, also where would be the best area to go, and lodge. Lodgeing would be least important. More concerned about the area trail. If anyone could help us out it would be great!

Need to register your sleds in NY, $35 each, plus bring proof of insurance. You can download the form off the NY DMV site- go to Old Forge (http://www.oldforgeny.com), click on covered bridge, and it will give you links to DMV, tell you what you need to bring.
