 How do you get the ski-doos' with SC-10 II suspensions to lift the skis? I'm used to the ole SC-10 w/ACM, a couple of turns of the nut and I could sit my ole 99 Mach Z on the rear bumper. My Renegade on the other hand won't rise the skis an inch! I know it's better for trail riding and handling.... I'm thinking drag racing where a little show can make up for a scattered loss!!!

A long track will be harder to lift the skis off the ground. Make the limiter strap longer and soften the rear.

Tried doing that with a buddies Renegade 800.... Tried longer limiter strap locations, soft spring settings, stiffer center shock setting, blocks in the less coupling location - still no ski movement at all...

How many studs are in it?? Is the track spinning?

Try rotating the block stops up, so your coupling block will hit the aluminum and not the stopper. I removed the nyloc nut from the bolt on the stop, put some red loc-tite on the bolt, and put the nut back on, just snug so I can leave the stops down for trail riding, and when I get on the lake, just flip the stops back. Works pretty good.

Sounds like a good idea... Have you noticed any damage to the coupling block - hitting against the aluminum instead of the stop? I've heard somebody else mention removing the blocks... To answer a previous question - I don't use studs - we seldom have enough icy conditions to warrant studs. I've never used them and think that maybe they could be more trouble then good - crossing roads - garage floor... I'm just so used to jumping on the rear end of my ole Mach Z and makin' her lift the skis! :hallo1:

As far as loosing the ACM nut of the older SC10. I go one step further, take the acm out and through it in the garbage. I like to lift the skis when I see bumps coming in the trail. If fact, I can pull the skis up while riding the tank on the lake at 80 mph. I guess that is the beauty of a mod sled with the my suspension set up. As for the coupled suspensions handling better that is all a matter of opinion. Many would also say my set up is no good, but I like it. Makes for an exciting ride.

Back to the point, the weight transfer on SC10-2's doesn't happen. We have tried many things. Still no ski lift. This makes for a hard time when loading on the trailer. On the formula a little blip of the throttle, the skis come up, and right up the trailer I go. :D

My 99 mxzx 440 has no problem lifting the front end on acceleration, granted it is not like my 97 mxz before I got the ad b kit. My track is a 1.25 on the 440. 1.5 on the 670. How big of a wheelieare you looking for?

Just looking for a little lift - not a major wheelie - just lightened ski pressure on a short drag! Your 99 has SC-10 II????

The sc102 was introduced in 99 on the 440x. The 600 had the old sc10 and in 2000 the sc102 was used on most ski-doos. My 440 will wheelie big then the front comes down so the skis are 6-8 inches off the ground. It stays like that for a little while, maybe 60/65mph

The 99 still has SC10 with ACM

i nahve a 98 grand touring se with the sc10 and acm, but i am not familiar with a nut to adjust it, and i had the entire suspension out just last week, what adjustment are you talking about, being its a long track its next to impossible for me to hang the skis, but i would love to, how much does removing the acm bars affect the cornering, thanks for the help
