I plan on painting my '01 ZR800 black, and can't decide what to do for decals. *Does anyone know where I can find a picture of the '01 ZR limited edition (black). *I want to see if the decals they used on the black ones are the same as the green ones.
here is a pic of my 01 ZR600 LE. *The 01 800 is exactly the same. *Except for it says 800.
Check out the link for part info.

The decal style will be the same looking but you will have to buy specific to the color you want to to paint your sled because the backgrond between the letters will match your hood color.......why wouldnt you stick 03 stickers on it and give it a new look??.......the 03 stickers are the best looking to date...
####, I wouldn't even bother with the decals.
here is a pic of a 98 Powder Special. *We painted the hood with a glossy black, and trimmed the vents with a pearl green using a micro air brush. *Then we did some pin-stripping, added a cat head to the left corner. *The only decal we put on was the "Light Weight Case Reed Twin 600" in the center.
We also painted the vent screens to match the pin strips (silver), which matches the tunnel.

Thanks for the info NEWF...great looking sleds.
Sledhead, you hit the nail on the head. *I was concerned about the outlining of the stickers not being black also. *The '03 stickers are my other option, already thought abuot them. *Will let you guys know what I do and post pics.
Thanks

Sledhead, the only problem with the '03 decals is that there is no green in them, and my seat has that green portion at the rear. *Will have to think of a way to make it all blend in if I go w/'03 decals.

Hey Jim I have the 03 900 and its green with a green seat. The decals are mostly white lettering with a splash of bright colors. I think that they will look really nice on your sled regardless of the seat color.
