Here's a topic for the Cochrane & Timmins members. We'll be spending 2 nights @ Lillabelle L. Lodge during our trip this winter & planning on dooing a daytrip out & back.

After seeing the James Bay trip article in Snow Goer Canada, I figure we'll head up to check it out as I've heard Team Renegade & others talk about it.

4 questions:

How far is it from Cochrane to Fraserdale?

From Fraserdale to Abitibi Canyon?

Is gas readily available in Fraserdale?

And finally, is this doable as a daytrip?

TIA

Fraserdale and Canyon are the same place

Phone Bill Froud before you go. Last year he had a guy sitting in a trailer there selling gas and pop etc at very high prices but thats what it costs.

We'll heading up to Fraserdale on March 1st. If anyone in the Cochrane or Timmins area is interested in joining us for the day, let me know. There'll be 6 of us in our group.

Oggy.

We did that run 2 weeks ago.Cochrane to the canayon is 92 miles. There is gas there at the trailer all winter 1.50 per litre. We made it to the gas stop in just over any hour and a half with lots of time to play in the hills.

hey revrnd

i work in cochrane at jr bbq ranch and have been there twice this year and am willing to go back anytime. call me there at 7052724999 or stop by. i'm jeff. if you want to just play in the hills i would reccomend trailering there and play in the hills because once you get stuck a couple of times you won't feel like riding 90 miles home, a little more comfy in the truck.

We're just doing the run up to Fraserdale as a daytrip. We've never spent much time in the Cochrane area. Usually just passed thru during the day. None of us have what would be called powder busters, so we'll just be sightseeing. When we get into town, I'll either stop by jr's or call you.

From the Petro-Canada in Cochrane to the dam @ Fraserdale is 94 miles. Gas was 1.60/L @ the Extreme Tours base camp.
