I've ordered a PERC kit for my 800, and I'm just wondering how hard it will be to install. Of course the clutch will be easy, and so will the CDI. But nobody seems to be able to tell me what exactly comes in the kit. I know there's an oil pump as well, but I'm not sure about the wiring harness etc...
Has anybody done this? How hard is it to do? How many hours would it take the dealer to do?

I didn't realize that you could purchase PERC as an add on accessory. Our 03 Classic came with it, and near as I can tell it's all in the CDI and the secondary clutch. The wiring should be straight forward, as is the clutch and CDI. Can't figure out about an oil pump though.

I put one on my 03 800 rmk. Took around 2 hrs. The kit came with a clutch, helix and spring, the spring can be kinda a pain to put in. It had a new wiring harness, cdi and tach...........no oil pump..........

In the FWIW column for anybody else thinking about doing this, I heard that if you order the kit for one of the long track machines, you'll get the Team roller secondary. If you order it for a 121" sled, you'll get the Polaris roller secondary. Seems like a no brainer there...
