I have a 99 mach and i just ported it. Would it be worth it to get the carbs boared out or buy bigger carbs or leave them alone.

I bored the carbs to 40mm on my 2000 Mach z and have been pleased with the results ,no driveability problems as such ,make sure you jet up a few sizes on the main till you get it figured out!

I run bord carbs on my formula III 8. Crankshop bored them to 40.2. I also have the cylinders ported and run Crankshop pipes.

I too have a ported 98 machz crankshop pipes and had good luck w/bored carbs however went to 44's this summer and was even better but cant seem to get the oil cable to correct pull ? I ended up premix for races it also was costly when it came down to new cable , filters adaptors to reeds , primer oh plus the carbs may have not been worth the money but in the future will need them ? we bore are's and have no jetting changes or issues. good luck
