: Looking For Speed/radar Runs Alien 12-15-2003, 10:16 PM A group of speed runners from Minnesota are looking for organized speed/radar runs to attend. We have stockers to open mod sleds. Prefer shaved ice. Open mod guys in group can run 158-160 in 1000 feet. Please post info or email to cse@cseracing.com. Please include a email or phone number for contact info about the race. Have speed will travel..... w00t Alien 12-17-2003, 11:06 AM How about Minn, Wis or michigan.?????? phazerhater 12-17-2003, 11:46 AM Not sure what parts of MN you are looking for, but Park Rapids has a 1000' radar run on potato lake some time in Jan. Nevis has a run after than on lake belle tain (sp?) and Menahga has one on Spirit Lake. Detroit Lakes and Bemidji have 1 or 2 radar runs per year as well. Grand Forks and Fargo have them on the river from time to time depending on ice conditions also. All of these listed start out as shaved ice, but get pretty rough fast. A couple places groom a spot for non-traction people also. I will pass on dates and times as I get them if you're interested. All of these locations are in a 2.5 hour radius in North Western MN. There is also the Canada thing brewing. It seem like some of the Wis and MIch. area runs aren't interested in "outsiders" coming in. Funny you read so much on different forums of how fast they are. This would be chance to prove it.......... Got a schedule for Central Wis. speed runs. Anybody heard of run by Crivitz,WI? pro116 12-20-2003, 08:00 PM yes I hears of the one by crivitz I never ran there but my buddy has I believ it's a 660ft every other week they run speed runs they switch from drags to speed runs.
