I just got back from a trip to Michigan and had a great time, however, I need some help in tuning my M-10. I was all over the place and High and Low speed. My track never seemed to grip. I have it picked but it seemed like I was riding with none.

I weigh 180lbs and would appreciate any help from some of the other M-10 owners out there.

Thanks

The limited experience that I have had with M-10's is that they just plain feel that way. I was not able to get rid of that feeling, but just had to get used to it. If someone came up with a cure fofr that loose feeling, I would like to know it too.

Might be able to help, but need more to go on. Could we be talking about a problem related to too much ski pressure (darting)? No traction off the line is an issue that can be helped a little, but will most likely be something you'll just have to live with...

Can you be more specific?

Hey it's been taking me a while to adjust my m-10 but what i have found works well with the traction is i have the fra adjusted to 2 and the front shock on clicker 3 this takes some more pressure off of the skis and gives alittle better transfer. I weigh 210 and this setup works well. The m-10 isnt a holeshot suspension and i had to learn that. It even takes alittle off of the top end too. But I will say it is the best overall ride ever. Play around with the settings but try the one i am running you may be pleased. I also heard you can take some material off of the transfer block in the back to increase pressure but you loose the coupeling.

Try it out

one more thing what sled is it in and who installed it? The first time i did it the whole geometry was all screwed up so i had to re do it now it is great. I am alittle concerned about the rear end all over the place. It could be an alignment problem but it really sounds like front end darting. I am as straight as an arrow

Thanks for all the input. The M-10 is installed on a 99 MXZ 600. I'm not sure who installed the unit since I purchased it used from a dealer. I found the Tech manual out on the Team Fast web site and that has given me a lot of tips.

I agree with your comment about darting. Feels like the back is all over but the front of the sled is where I was having my issues the more I think about it. I have the fra already set to 2 and I am not sure where the front shock is at right now. I'm going to work on it tomorrow, however, since we have no snow around here I'm going to have to wait until the first weekend of January to test it out in the upper UP.

Thanks again for all the input.

Make sure the limiter strap is all the way out and tighten up the front shock. This will give you great traction however I noticed mine pushed a little in the corners. I have since tightened up the limiter one notch and now I have darting issues. What are ya gonna do?

The middle spring (front skid) adjustment is something of a compromise. I ran mine pretty loose, darting didnt bother me, pays big dividends in the twisties. I can get used to a sled thats a little dodgy here and there, kinda like a go cart. What I can't get used to, is a sled that pushes in a corner. How can you trust a sled set up like that, especially in the right turns, where a mistake can put you on the wrong side of the trail? Too scary for me....

for what its worth...
I had an old polaris that was loose big time in the back end. sucked up the limiter strap a bit (it was all the way loose) and it cured the problem.
don't know if you can relate this to the m-10 or not, but... good luck
