 I have an 01 MXZ 800 adrenaline, I bought it used this year from a dealer. It had 800 Miles on it. Everything is stock. I took it out for the first time last weekend and put 100 miles on it. It ran fine for the first 40 miles, and then I could not get it to idle at a standstill. I'm also having trouble starting it. It takes about 4 pulls sometimes more to start it. Any help would be great!

Sounds like a fuel issue. check the carbs. Take the bowls off and have a look to see if everything is clean. how do the plugs look?? wet or dry?? also check to see that the choke is adj. properly and not partialy on. maybe a needle and seat problem?? stuck float??

Just some things to look at....

Also it doesn't take much to plug up a pilot jet. Check those too..

I would pull the carbs out and go through them from top to bottom. I'd be willing to bet that the dealer didn't go through them at all. The 01 800's had a recall on them. Does the sled have the piston and cooling system recall done? I would also pull the reed cages. The 01's also had problems with the rubber delaminating from the reed cages.

BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2001 700 SKIDOO FROM MY DEALER AND THE FIRST MILE I PUT ON THE SLED IT WAS GREAT THAN AFTER THAT IT WOULD ONLY IDLE ON 1 SPACK PLUG THAN AS SOON AS I GAVE IT GAS IT RAN ON TWO? SO I TRAILERED IT TO MY DEALER ANY THEY RIPPED THE CARBS OFF AND MY DEALER CALLED ME AN HOUR LATER AND SAID MY LOW SPEED JET WAS PLUGGED WITH A PIECE OF RUBBER. SO IT COULD BE SIMPLE,GOOD LUCK

:D It was my reeds. They were shot. I changed out the reed cages and replaced everything with V-force3 reeds. It runs great! Thanks for the help!!
