Has anyone got experience with making an 8 foot trailer into a 9 footer.
I have a line on an old double 6x8 galvinized trailer that I would like to extend into a 9 footer and would like comments or suggestions.
Will be using it as a single

Sounds like a lot of work to me.. you are going to have to cut into the traler, weld new steel, than put it all back together and you are only ending up with 1' more. plus, you will burn the galvanising off when you weld to it so you will have to paint the traler every few years to keep it from becoming a pile of rust.
but, good luck if you decide to do it.

i Made my old tilt bed trailer into a v nose dirve on drive off. and it works great. just made a ramp that slides up under the back.. i can post a pic if you want

Seems like allot of work for just an extra foot. For the amount of time and effort you would have to put into it to do it properly, you my as well go with got snow's idea and make a drive on/off V-nose...
