Well, after sitting on my sled (some more) tonight in the garage, I've come to the conclusion that I did not compensate enough vertically when I moved the rear arm of the skid back during the 136" conversion. At first I wasn't too worried about the rear of the sled sitting a "little" lower, because it wouldn't really hurt anything (just a lower riding position, better for hookup). But, when I just sit on the sled, the snowflap touches the ground, and that can't be good when I go bouncing down the trails. In order to move the rear mounting bolts down to where they should be, I would either have to move the mounting location either an inch or two forward, or backwards. Would this affect how the suspension does it's job? If so, would it be better to go forward or back? I'm thinking back, because it takes so much pressure to move that arm forward when reinstalling the skid. Hopefully the pics will get my thoughts accross.
Any help would be appreciated, my dealer is up north enjoying the trails for a few days.
Thanks!!!
