At least 192 and go with the Stud makers recommendations as far as size.

00 Formula III 800. I run 192 Woody's Megabites 1.075" length. Woody's recommends that you run a 1" stud. 192 is all you need. A ran 244 before, it is too much weight and it really stretches the track. I am 6' 200 lbs and my sled hooks excellent.

I run doubble diggers all down the center belt on mine. I have 144 1.075 studs in doubble digger backers. With a m-10 it doesent hook up as good as a stocker but it sure works good

I put in 192 Woody's Gold Digger, used their template for the pattern... Hooks up pretty good!!

I would recommend 168 in the centre area only. I had 168 in my last MachZ across the entire track face and it worked fine, but there was noticeable understeer on very hardpack conditions. Studding the centre area only, improves your cornering abilities, and still puts lots of bite into your footprint area. No matter how many studs you put in, there will always be some traction loss when you pin the throttle on the trails or hardpack conditions. I think with studding it's better to be on the conservative side in terms of actual number of studs used.

144 and try just down the center but 144 is enough anymore then that and you will just slow it down

Peter, conservative is the wrong answer when studding.
Too little studs and you will wreck your track.
The best set up is the 3/4 preditor track with 1.075 megabites. Run a 2/4 pattern down the middle and every other on the out side. You will need to run bulk head protectors and will probably need to make them. Royal doesn't carry them any more.

I run 144 woody's 1.075 mega bite on a 1" Preditor track (center belt only) on my '98 machz. Hooks up really well. Running 192 just adds more weight and slows you down. Good luck.

I agree. :withstupid: 144 Is all you need, down the middle. 192 is extra weight that you don't need. Ever pick up a bag full of 192 studs/backers/lock nuts? Pretty heavy!

144 is what's going on my 800
