Went out sleding in the soo a few days ago and my thumb was freezing. The thumb warmer was not heating up, I would take my gloves off and feel it and there was just a very very small amount of heat...almost nothing. My Hand warmers seemed to be working great. What should I look for?

I would definately check the wiring first to be sure that there is nothing loose, and then check the switch. Somtimes they just go bad. and it sounds like that may be the case. We have had to replace them on almost every sled we have owned...

What sled is it? The sleds before '02 sucked when it came to having enough juice to power the thumb & handwarmers, then if you added a electric shield.
My '01 was the same. Thumb warmer on high, w/ your bare thumb you could feel heat on the "backside" of the throttle, but while riding the warmer may as well been off.
The '02s had a more powerful lighting coil to help this.

wiring is like plumbing, when you have no power to where you want it is like a clog in the pipe somewhere. so to start have the sled running and use a wire test light to find where the power stops. either start at the power source and trace it to where the power stops or at the thumb warmer then trace it back to where the power starts.
