I have a 2002 mxzx it has the standard tra clutch just like the rest of skidoo sleds have. I want to change my engagement rpms. Some people tell me that the adjustment clickers are for 200 rpm inctiments, some people say its for engagement others say its for maximum top end rpm. But why would skidoo let u change the max rpm where u could potentially blow up your sled by over reving. Whats the point of these things and why do people change them.??? Thanks. You guys always come throught with great answers thanks again.

I'm no clutch guru but I can tell you that the clickers do change the top end rpm's. each click is about 200 rpm's. Sometimes you need to make adjustments to raise the rpms due to other changes in clutching. your belt will also make a difference, if it's glazed your rpms will be higher. you want to be around 8000 rpms.

Change engagement by increasing the drive spring #'s only.
Example: 200/290 spring engages @ 4200 want higher, go to 230/290 for a 4500 engagement.
Clickers are for top rpm ONLY... :hallo1:

The clickers will change your top rpm only. Snow conditions will determine your clicker adjustment. On the trails I might be at #3 and in the waist deep pow pow maybe #5 or #6. The idea is to maintain peak power (max rpm) in all snow conditions. Hope this helps.
