I have a '01 mxz 700 which I understand was prone for being too lean in the low to mid-range. If i'm correct all I have to do is add the nylon washers under the Needle and life is good correct? My question is do you normally add 1 or 2 washers under the needle in each carb?

Hey mud, I had the same problem with my 2002, 600. (burned down twice on me while putting along :cussing: ) High Performance Engineering sells a shim kit, with shims in increments of .010", .020", and .030". There was a recall on my sled because the needle jet was not seated correctly. Mine was suppose to have been corrected but burned down anyway. I since have installed the .020" shims but haven't put any miles on (NO SNOW!!! :cussing: ) to see if I need to make any more adjustments. You may want to look into this kit also. I believe its called the 5/20 kit. GoodLuck!! If anyone knows if this is a good or bad idea please let us know. Thanks!!!
