studboy,
*i like it when i hear long term weather forecasts like that because sometimes you have to figure just how smart one is and when that person starts yipping one way or the other about the weather a year from now then i know i don't have to figure anymore. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/withstupid.gif

Right on guys. *It can't get any worse. *I did manage to put on about 700 miles but most were in very poor conditions! http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif *Hope we get tons next season so I can compensate for all the miles I didn't put on this season.

I managed to get 770 miles in mostly poor conditions as well. *Save your pennies and head farther north if the snow doesn't come. *I sure wish I'd prepared for the snow that's hit the UP this past couple of weeks. *What a spring break that would be!

I feel sorry for you guy's that didn't get much snow, but up in northern ontario our winter did start off a little slow, but now we are still riding awsome trails. I have 2 sleds, and combined I've put 7500 km's. And still have a long way to go. Trail systems have closed south of us so they have loaned us a groomer. We need it with so many tourists in our area our trails need it. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I dont think there will be a El Nino winter next year. *If there is, from what I remember the last El Nino was a better winter than this one. *So, it can only get better.:) *Lets all just hope that we get a good winter next year. *This one was terrible. *I only put about 420 miles on my sled.

Just means there is more of ya to love.Besides snowmobiling is one of the few sports you dont want to be a lightweight for, if ya have a couple of xtra pounds I've noticed I can throw my sled through the corners a little better.Permafrost says the same thing happens to him.LOL http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

i posted something on EL NINO a while ago, EL NINO is coming in late summer of 2002, and will bring more snow to the east, and im not sure about the west. *plus the sun goes through an 11 year maximum, this was the 11th year by the way, which is why we had rain and high temps. *so next winter will be better.

The NOAA has recognized the upcomming El Ninio by using the sattelites to measure the ocean water temps. In 1998 they related this to a cycle that the Sun goes through. It happened last in the 50's. There were 10 years of low snow years and droughts and heat waves in the summers. Back then there was not technology to study like now, but the patterns are recognizable. A direct representation of global warming, which is happening (but with NO help from humans) it is natural, the sun throws out solar flares and we just happen to be lined up with them (communications systems have been affected by this problem as well) The solar flares are expected to end in the next few years.

Has any of you noticed that the entire western half of the United States is DESERT?
