Does anyone know the condition of the North Bay area trails? They have not yet reported on the OFSC web site. Any chance of them being opened over the next few days? Need to find some where in Ontario to ride this weekend. Thanks!

With little variation, the weather you're getting at home is the same weather they're getting in North Bay.

This is an easy post to answer to-- check out http://torbay.net This should answer all of anyones questions on the availabilty of snowpack in the North Bay area.Click on the motion cam and you will see no snow at all.Just like the rest of Ontario til the temps drop and snow falls!! Sit back and wax the sleds and have a cup of coffee as it looks like its going to be some time til we ride the trails.

Yeah, assuming it does start to get cold and we get some snow, it'll probably be a month or more until the trails are in decent (not limited) condition.

Little north of Timmins seems to have some trails open..May just have to head there....Think that might be the only area with some snow.

Just waiting for some ice myself... trails with water/mud holes aren't fun.

Oh Yeah!! Permit looks just " Beautiful" on my windshield!! Well just think how much $$$$ the OFSC will have for next year seeing all the clubs groomers haven't left the barns as of yet. Can understand now why my local dealers are selling 4 atvs to 1 sled.

With all of this excess permit money, the OFSC brass can all afford new trucks and sleds for next season...

Guys, Guys... Yes winter is late, but are you counting on not having any snow at all this season? I'm sure those $160 stickers will be used, (I hope)!!! And when your riding down the scenic groomed trail, I'm sure then you won't be saying you wasted your money on it.
Happy New Year all, and most importantly be sides all this holiday stuff...
...HAPPY RIDING, AND ALL THE BEST THIS SAESON!!!

I keep hearing from people that Timmins guys are running the trails. My friend just came back from Elliot Lake. He says people are trailering to Sudbury and running to Timmins. Every web site I check out says trails are closed. Even the local club sites.

92Indy440- I'm not saying I wasted my money. hey If I use the sled a couple times this season, I will have gotten my monies worth.Heck a day of downhill skiing is about $100++! Just hoping it will get used a couple times though!! I just keep remembering the pre-grooming days on boogies and steel/springs and smile when I look at that sticker!!

Good day Pete. I am always here just don't post alot. Hey this is where I learn how to get that old clunker of mine running. It's a wealth of info on this board. Just took the sled off the trailer. Ok from the dealer. Shes all ready...again. Just looking at my trail pass sitting by the puter. I guess if it stops rainning I'll go out and put it on. Been on the ATV mostly fishing. May head out latter to do some more fishing before "All" the ice melts. We had a dusting of snow last night but it is +4C today. Susposed to be -19C next week with some snow. That will get the lake turnning. Already lost two huts when the ice in Cooks bay blew apart two days ago. And people wonder why I use a portable.....lol.
