I just checked my compression and on each of the cylinders I read 115-120 seems low or is this normal? Thanks for the help.

you want all 3 within 10% of each other and your are fine with your readings,,,,

Yeah thats a pretty good reading and like said they should all be within 10% of each other, so if all 3 were from 115-120 then you are doing great

Yeah, that's a pretty normal reading for a ZRT6. They usually only read 120-125 when new.

My 98 EXT triple checked 103lb/103lb/102lb and it runs great, at 5500 miles it may be a bit low on comparison or my guage may be different. Won't re-ring until next if I do it. :D

Did you test it while the engine was cold as hell, or pretty much warmed up? You should be doing it while engine is warm.

My 2000 ZRT 600 Had 115psi straight across from the day i bought it new...Thats why these motors are alittle soft on bottom end pull...I had my heads cut twice and it never affected reliability.

My 97' has 121 psi across the board, and the low end on this one will pull the doors off a barn,i think a lot of the low end problems on these machines is incorrect jetting,if it's to fat the motor can't get on the pipes and loads up,i have 350 mains when shes cold otherwise 340's with boyesen reeds and stock clutching, new primary, roller secondary, new springs and it will tear a trench and go like right now,
i ran against a zrt 8oo and some zr 800s and 600s a couple of weeks back and killed the zr 600s and was on the 800's a$$ all the way except for the launch,i jumped right out in front.
i'm never getting rid of this baby triple their one of the best. :D

Gotta love the triples!!!!!

Too bad they have faded away. Hopefully someday, when technology steps up some more, there will be more efficent lighter designs, so that maybe some nice tuned triples could make a comeback.!!!!!
