I wanted to Paint the hood grills on my sled red. But i dont know if i should use regular krylon or Use the Plastic Fusion Krylon, that doesn't need any sanding or priming. I would Bet the Plastic fusion would be better cause it is made for plastic but i was wondering if anybody else has done this and How i should do it, if you have any tips it would be great
thank you :hallo1:

I used the Fusion to paint mine, they really turned out nice, just make sure you clean them real good with some alcohol or solvent before you paint them! :)

I painted mine with a can from the local dollar store. Looks good so far, hard to

That's a great idea. I was thinking of buying the yellow grill kit for my MXZ 600 but ski-doo wants $44 dollars for a piece of colored plastic :slick: . So now since you guys mentioned this I'm just going to paint them.
Thanks
Ian

I did mine last night and today, here they are in Krylon Orange.
If ya cant ride it, might as well work on it. Having a new sled in the garage collecting dust is killing me.
I have an orange skid plate and A-arm protectors coming, should come in tommorow. I HOPE.

Another, they look red in the photo but they really came out a nice, bright orange.

The front one is the most difficult but its a no brainer too, just be careful ya dont bend it, they are metal. :D

Good job the orange looks sweet with with the decals and the black.
I was looking at how big of pain that the plastic grills in the ZX were going to be, It looks like it won't be to bad since you can take the two pieces apart. I just hope when you slide the grills that the paint won't chip off  . Also in that Plastic fusion Paint do they have a good "Ski-Doo" Yellow.
Thanks

One thing I forgot to ask is where can you get the paint and how many cans do you think it will take to paint all the plastic grills on the ZX chassie. No primer Right.
Thanks Ian
