Guys, I got a pair of plastic skis when i purchased a 98 formula, the guy wasn't sure if they fit cause he never tried them. They're bombardier skis. I tried to get my old skis off but because the metal skis have bent up a bit i couldn't get the bolts out, they'd hit the ski, so I cut them out. Now, after taking my old ski off, i noticed the rubber mount on the metal skis is different than the plastic ones. What do I do??? Any help much appreciated.

I assume that the new skis you are talking about are the flex skis? If so, you can buy the rubber pieces from your skidoo dealer.

I have the rubber pieces, but the rubber pieces are totally different than the ones that already existed with the metal skis, i don't see how they'll work, I'll try to get a photo of what I mean, to see what the problem is.

It sounds like you have the rubber pieces for the ZX chassis, which look kind of like a rubber "block", instead of the rubber "pad" ones that are maybe 1/2 inch thick or so.
If you're talking flex skis, or precision skis, they both take the same rubber piece.
Go see your dealer and get the rubber pads for a 1999 Mach Z, that should be the ones you need (or any other sled with the DSA front arms and Flex Skis). The part number should be 570053300.
I had to go through this same thing with my 1997 Mach 1 that I put precision skis on.
