Broke the key in ignition, :withstupid: how the heck do I get it out? Is there an easy way?
It's a '94 Ski-Doo are all the keys the same? Thank you in advance

The keys are not all the same. If the key is'nt broken off to far in, I would try tweezers(sp?) or a couple of thoughs tiny electrical kit type screw drivers. You might have to take the ignition out to get it. If you take it to a locksmith he can cut a new key for it.

There is usually a # on the ignition and if the dealer looks up the # they can match a key for you I think it would be cheaper than a locksmith check with your local dealer and see what he says

Usually the key has a code on it too.

Just buy a new ignition switch & key, less hassle and cheaper then you'd thing.

your dealers hould have like a serial number for the key cause if they made every key the same..so many sleds would be stolen!..

so they have to make serial nubmers and diff keys for each sled!

I fix broken off key's in locks every once in a while. If there is nothing sticking out you have 2 options. Buy a new cylinder or dig it out.

I purchased a new cylinder for my Exciter and it was easy to put in.

If you can see the brass of the broken ket try and gouge a slight hook in the brass with a pick. This hook will let you use the pick to grab the key and use the pick like a lever to remove it. At the worse you will need to use the other option.
