My high beam indicator light and my break light are not working. I can tap on the blue high beam light and get it to come on occasionally, but not the red break indicator light. I am assuming the I may have a bad connection or light. Does anyone know the voltage that should be present when the lights should be on. I have a 2001 Mxz trail. Thanks

I would think that you ought to be having something in the neighborhood of 12-14 VDC across the lightbulb terminals when they're illuminated.

I have 4 friends with 2001 ski doos 2 500's a 600 and a 700 all with the same problem the socket seem to have a cold solder joint. If you take the socket out and check it with a continuity meter you will see that it is open.I lifted up the lens and was able to heat the to socket up with a soldering gun and get it to work. I have broken the small bulb on a couple trying to fix. there only about 7 dollars each it is easier to replace. I think ski-doo had a bad batch of those connector that year.
Good luck
