Went out to play finally more less trying to dial in clutches and carbs. the carbs are good but i have a little work to do with the clutches just thought i would get some of your opinions on my issues. When i holeshot my sled revs 8300+ till im about 300-400ft out then drops back down to 7900-8000 and holds. 8300 is way to high I have never had this problem before, just recently i trail ported my sled with john templates. I was exspecting i would have to add some pin weight but now that i had it out i dont think that will do it. My clickers are in pos #3, i have a 200 320 spring, and 297 ramps. My sheaves on my pri clutch are luke warm and my secondary is pretty much cold. I have straight 50 with about 18LBs and a beige spring ind the driven. It seems to be a little hesitent to backshift just for a split second. Could play any more cause i got go to work. Any ideas? Thanks Andy

try a 53/47 that will pull your motor down at the start and the lower finish will help hold the rpms at 400 ft. Leave every thing else the same. ONLY CHANGE ONE THING AT A TIME. Too many people make 3 or 4 what they think are little changes and then you are back to square one.

thanks ill give it a try sounds logical and i think i have a helix pretty close to those angles at the shop. I will let you know in the morning. I was thinking maybe just more pretension but ill go with the helix first.

thats good advice, another stratagy would be say a 230/380 or 230 /410 with a couple grams more pin.....or theres other ramps....try the helix first.
