I have a buddy that has to use a Left Hand Throttle because he does not have his right hand from about 2" below his elbow down. We have tried several of the kits and have still not found one that works. Since he has no need for the right hand throttle, we disconnected the cable and ran it to the other side.

I thought I might have a throttle for ya Saskman , but i went and checked and it is a two stage throttle two. Is the problem with the cable the End piece or is it the length. I think it is possible to weld a different end piece to the cable if need be.

hey sackman,
I've made three of um myself,
'00 mxz 700
'02 mxzx 600
'03 rev 600 HO
All three use the same principal, but a little different design for the rev. I make my own bracket that pivots on the right hand lower throttle screw. It hooks on the edge of the throttle and extends out towards the windsheild. the bracket is about three inches long. I've been using bicycle cables and a cable clamp on the bracket. so when u pull the left throttle is actually moves the right throttle. Works awesome, saved myself 150 bucks!

mxzx6, that is the type of kits we bought for my buddy and they did not work worth a crap. The Lefty's kit comes with a "Cam" as you described that connects about the same way you described as well. It then connects to the additional throttle that you mount on the left side. The pull on it was very very stiff and you could not get full throttle out of it.
