Geocaching And Snowmobiling

Anyone tried Geocaching and snowmobiling? I found one once during the summer and thought it was pretty cool when you have nothing to do. Maybe we could make up snowmobile cache hunts? Imagine a 100 mile multi cache hunt. If you have no idea what Im talking about, check out geocaching.com. Could be a lot of fun. BTW, Thanks for the new forum!!! :thumbsup:

Yes, I have done it...a lot tougher to find them in the snow. I have placed one cache and have found two at Lake of the Woods (Ontario side) There have been some more caches placed over the summer and I plan on trying to locate some of them this winter.

You could take it one step farther and make it a poker run also so when you find the spot you get a card.

I thought about it a little more and the only problem is that the cache could be found during the summer. If its on private property that would be a problem, unless we can make them unavailable in the off season or ensure they are on public land. Just a thought.
