Hi. I own a 4 stroke touring 2002 and I will be doing a rather long trip from Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, to Great Bear Lake, NWT,down the Mackenzie River to Inuvik, then along the coast back home. We will be travelling through some very remote country and the availabilty of spare parts will be extremely limited.
I would like to hear if anyone has had any particular problems with the 4 strokes. I have put on about 3000 miles on my sled so far and so far it has been running well.
What would you bring along in the way of spare parts???

I would bring a couple spare belts, spark plugs, oil. Check your suspension over good and check the hyfax you may want to replace them before you head out. The 4-stroke engine itself shouldn't cause you any problems I'd be more foccused on bringing spare parts for the suspension, like spare bearings and bolts. 3000KM's is a good years running for us.
