I'm converting a older diaghram carb to a mikuni slide carb. This is on a older ski-doo. I had it running ok at best (always struggled with idle). When the sled was cold I could get it to idle and eventually it would naturally slowly idle down like it was supposed to. After the sled warmed up the idle would stay really high and not drop down. I dealt with it and drove it a little. I noticed the exhaust leaked a lot of smoke and burnt fuel and oil at all the seams. So I sealed them up with some high temp rtv. Now the sled won't idle, it wants to die and it is very boggy. I'm running a 35 pilot jet. It is a 340cc twin fan single carb. I messed with the air screw all the way in and all the way out and it did nothing. I think I need a different pilot jet, do I need a 40 or a 30? Or am I barking up the wrong tree here? Good spark and plenty of air getting to the cylinders.
