RedDeath | track change to 1.5" on 03 Rev ...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, I'm looking at putting a 1.5" on my 03 Rev 800 sport. Its currently got the 1' factory, but the traction I am getting from this is quite simple insufficient. I'm getting one hell of a deal on the brand new 1.5, even cheaper that a 1.25 from my dealer. He says it will fit past that beavertail with no problems. I'm just wondering how hard it is to change tracks on a rev, I'm formerly a polaris rider and I have changed 5 tracks before, i'm just curious as to how hard it is on a rev and if anyone has put a 1.5 on one of these sleds and what kind of feedback I could get about that. Thanks

It is SOOOOOOO easy!!!! I just did one one my friends 03 800X. The way that the engine access doors open on the side makes access to the chaincase, brake and bearings so good I couldn't believe it.

Shouldn't take you more than two hours if you have another person tol help you.

Good luck

You'll love the hook up on the 1.5", I'll never go back to studs or a smaller lugged track. you just want to be careful with it, don't go grabbing a handful of throttle around icy/rocky corners as you tear the outer lugs off. Everyone in my group has them and we've all had the same problem, there not quite as durable as the stock tracks.

As sammy said it's pretty easy to do, jsut make sure you get yourself a good set of snap ring pliers to remove the retaining clip on the bearing in the chain case.
