i bought a garmin etrex legend about a year ago, and i think i am actually going to use it snowmobiling this year. So i went out and bought the mapsource topo map becuase it says it has snowmobile trails. oNly problem is i insert the cd into my drive and nothing happens, i even have tried what it says in the book to go to Run, and type in the drive letter of the cd-rom but cant get anything to happen. Probley don't help i am not good with computers. Any advice? thanks mark

Do any other CDs work in the drive?

Also make sure you have the latest versio of Mapsource downloaded from Garmin.com

Zog, actually that is a good question, i just tried a couple other cds with no luck, looks like im might have to use a buddys computer if i cant figure it out. thanks mark

No problem. You may require new software for the CD drive...or perhaps a new drive.

Once you get it working don't be too dissapointed when you can't find any snowmobile trails in the TOPO maps. None of the trails in Michigan appear in the TOPO maps that I've ever seen. But it's still good maps and you need more detail than the basemap anyway.
