I have a pair of the black plastic ski boots that fit under your skis to keep the carbides from tearing up your trailer and garage floor.Mine have the BLUE nylon strap on them (POLARIS)and its time for a new pair. The bottoms of mine both have a big hole under the carbides from wear and the straps keep loosing the snaps.Does anyone have a pair that does not use the straps and how do you prevent the plastic from eating away under the skegs from the weight of the front end as you drive it across your floor? Anyone have a way to repair these holes without having to buy a new set? Thanks in advance. Pete

the ones I have & that Royal Distributing sells are by SnoSports. They use a piece of 1/2" round nylon & hairpin clips to hold the boot on instead of a strap.

REVRND- thanks as this is a better set-up than the straps.Any idea on the problem of keeping the skegs from wearing thru the bottoms?? Would that wooden trick you did on yours solve this problem do you think?

I don't use them alot, only a few times a season & not very far. The wooden strips probably won't help the wear issue because most of the weight will still be on the plastic.

Pete.............I'm pretty sure that I still have two sets of the ones from Royal Dist. upstairs in the garage. If interested in me shoot me an email and I'll check it out.

ZR- thanks for the offer. The only thing is that I am told the boots are all different widths to fit all the different skis. The ones for the Polaris are I think the wide ones like 6 inches wide. Do yours attach to the spindles with straps? Don't you use them anymore on your sled? Well thanks again, appreciate it and get back to me.

Pete,
I purchased these when my wife and I both rode Polaris's (I've since seen the light.....LOL). At that time I had factory plastic skis on one and steel on the other so I'm sure fit is not an issue.
They are held on with a plastic / nylon bar that slides through both fore and aft of the spindle, never had an issue with them.
Shoot me an email if interested..............I'll make you a smokin deal on the two pairs. (Royal Dist shows them at $88/pr black and $95/pr colored.....YIKES) Used but in very good condition, will have to check as to what color they are.
