I'm gonna get a new sled very soon (probably by next friday). I don't know if I should get the F6 or the F7? I'm leaning toward the F6 because it's a little cheaper but I can't make my mind up. What are your thoughts on this? How much of a difference is there between the two. Either way I am getting the EFI model. I'm not sure if I should get the sno pro edition or just stay with the normal suspension. I weigh 200 pounds and want to be able to jump a little and not have to worry about it bottoming out. I currently have a 2000 ZR500 EFI (untill I get a new one. Please help me make my decision. Also what is a good price for one of these sleds?

Thanks
Joe

Check your insurance before you buy. Some companies are not insuring anything bigger then a 600. My cat dealer told me the F6 was the most bang for the buck.

I've been wondering what to get too. Last weekend I went out with some friends, and i rode an f5-6 and 7. The 5 was really snappy and the 7 had some brute ### power, but the 6 i really liked. It was the best of both worlds, and like what was said before, the 6 is a little cheaper and i also heard that insurance companies don't think a person needs a 700 or above :( . I would go with the snow pro package though.

For the price difference I would go with the F7 I might regret it later if you don't and as for the suspension I also would go with the snopro. For that kinda of money you don;t want to be bottoming out especially if you knew you could have gotten the better suspension and didn't. Just my 2 cents worth :p Good luck on the purchase.

Defintly check with your insurance company to see the difference between the F6 and F7. If theres no big differnce then why not go with the F7? As far as performance I can't say having not rode a F6 or F7 YET. Though for the suspension if you are going to be doing any jumpiong the sno-pro would be better. The standard is good for lighter riders but you may have it bottom on you.

i have been riding arctic cat for awile but try a rev before you make your choice. i got 40 miles on the rev last weekend. now guess what i now have the rev on my trailer. firecats are nice but when the trail gets rough the rev excels.

I would get the 6...I own a 500, not arctic cat, but same general. I love the snap out of a 5, but the 6's are perfect, My next sled will be a 600. I've rode all from 340's to 800's, I like the 600's the best. The best all around trail/lake, do it all sled out there.
It's like with atv's, 4, 5, 6, and 7's, Don't really need anything larger than a good 500 H.O.

IMO if the F5 was efi that would be the sled to get but in your case I would get the F6 with EFI. More power is great but the added cost of insurance, maintainance and wear that the larger F7 create's tells me the smaller sleds are still the way to go. SWRules

Prices from two different places

F6 EFI sno pro-----7800 out the door

F6 EFI --------------7200 out the door

Do you think these prices are two High?
I'm gonna get an F6 But I still can't decide if i need the sno pro or not
I'm not gonna be doing any serious jumpin, just messing around. Do you think it is worth it? I didn't want to spend more than 7500 out the door. That is why I am really thinking if it is worth it. I'm still trying to get them to go lower on the sno pro but it isn't working.

Lime, I just bought a Sabercat 600, close to the f6, I paid $7570 out the door. This is including remote electric start and reverse. Hope this helps?

That seems high for a 600? I can get a brand new Polaris XC600 SP for only $5400 right now...I know it's not arctic cat, but is there really that much of a difference between the brands. Personally I don't think so?

i say the f6 sno pro is the best bang for your buck. go with the sno pro. specially that u are 200 pds. that will help in the ruff stuff. The f7 of course will beat the f6 but it depends what u ride with. if u dont ride with any other f7's and u ride withh all 600 cc and 800 twin sleds. u will have beat every other 600 and beat most 800 twins. I am very happy with my f6.
