We ran from Chapleau to Timmins on Thursday. C101F was in rough shape from Chapleau all the way over to the Opishing River bridge. I guess that's where the Timmins groomer takes over, even though it was quite a few miles east that we saw a Club billboard. Trail was great from there east to Timmins.
The girl working @ the general store in Foleyet said the groomer was broken, no idea when it would be fixed.

Has anyone ever ridden this trail or have any information. It always seems to open later in the year than some of the ones surrounding. We are planning to ride in mid Feb.

Last year when we rode the trail the Foleyet club's groomer was down. It's a bush trail & not many "higher" speed sections. It's groomed wide that you can meet sleds safely, just a bit twisty. There's a couple of areas west of Timmins that have been burned in the past, so that's different to see.
Gas is available @ Mooseland Resort on Hwy. 101 & the trail 9 miles east of Foleyet. There is a restaurant there. It'll save you the trip into Foleyet. Not much there to see. I didn't notice a restaurant when we got gas @ the general store.
Nothing from Foleyet west to Chapleau.
Timmins - Foleyet 88 miles
Foleyet - Chapleau 85 miles
Hope this helps you out.

THey were 2 weeks ago and just sunk a ton of money into expanding. They will be open. If not the general store in Foleyet will be happy to fill you up
