Well as I was moving my sled around in the garage I just happened to look down at my stepdads Turbo and noticed the dealer forgot to tighten 2 studs. So I grab my set of allen keys and begin to try and find the right size. I dont have one that will fit it, I tried both metric and standard, a Hex head and also the stared ones too and still couldn't get one to fit. Does anyone happen to know what size they of key they take?

Just grab a pair of vice grips, and clip it to the top of the stud and tighten er down with a half inch wrench.

Worked great on a couple of studs where i stripped out the allen on the bottom.

Hope this helps.

can you get the nut off to pull the stud out? Maybe they stripped them? My guess would be metric. It seems anything made in USA is 99% metric now. LOL.

My woody's were 5/32 allen that I just installed. They were 5/16 studs.

I found that there is a metric that is awful awful close and if you work at it just a little, it will end up going in,,,, man it was awful tight,,,, I was actually gonna take one that was just too big and grind a little off at one point!!!!

Thanks I'll see if I can't get one of them to fit in there, if not I'll use the vise grips. I dont think they stripped, just totally skipped over them. They are beside each other and both uts are just on finger tight, glad I noticed them because I'm sure they wouldn't have stayed on after 1 ride.

I think the 7mm is the measurement for the threads of the stud. It seems to be right between a 4 and 5mm. I know my brother has one for when we studded my ZRT but I didn't think they would be that odd sized.

I couldn't get any of the allen keys in so I resorted to trying the vise grips. Worked great just takes a little while longer. Thanks 03F7

I will check out in the garage tommorrow scott and let you know what size I was using,,,,it was a damned tight fit, and sometimes it wouldnt fit in one way,,,, (all sides should be equal), but a little twist and push and they went right in
