I had a BIG problem yesturday when i was out breaking trial in well over a foot of fresh fluff. I had to stop about every couple minutes which was a pain because snow seemed to be hitting me in teh chest and blowing up into my helmet by my neck and freezing on the inside of my shield. i have an electric visor but that didnt help at all. How can i fix this. do i really have to go out and spend the money for a sno x helmet and googgles.

what kind of helmet are you wearing? do you wear a balaclava or neck sock? that might help seal the edges.

Dawg, I bought this thing at Royal last week called a neck curtain. It's like a neck tube but it has a big sticky rubber band that fits around the outside of the bottom of your helmet. The bottom of it goes inside your jacket. I got it to block the cold, but I'm sure it would work well also for snow.

Rollo...thanx for that information. i'll check it out and see what they got.

doo rider, i have a arctic cat helmet which seems is very good. i wear a balaclava and a neck sock. There seems to be about an inch of space between my chin and helmet that the snow can through.

Easy fix Nat... get your head out of the snow!! lol
Or stop look at the side of your sled as your going down the trail... we all know it's a good looking sled... but come on!! lol

My HJC has a removable curtain that is suppose to stop this. But I found it to be a pain for trail riding. This happens even with a balaclava?? hmmm.

zr rider.....LOL u got me there. guess i learnt the hard way didnt I. :D

just wondering what made the curtian such a pain to wear on the trial. its probably one of those things that will only wear when i am out in the powder breaking trial. does it work though?
